Jets' Women and Under 23s return to NPLW action this weekend at the start of the shorter, second phase of this season’s competition.
After Round 17 of the main draw, the league divided into the top seven (Jets were sixth, five points clear of Western Pride in eighth) plus the QAS team.
The Under 23 sides from each club followed into the new set-up and now start their second phase fixtures.
“This is an opportunity for us to continue to improve, developing players and playing our style of football,” said Jets' head coach David Da Silva.
“It’s about giving younger players a go. Of course, we want to win every game but it’s just question of how we go about it.”
The first fixtures are on Saturday with a trip to Coplick Sports Park, the home ground of Gold Coast United. Under 23s at 4pm, Seniors at 6.30pm.
Our season finishes at Wolter Park with the Seniors facing Lions at 7.30pm on Friday September 17 and the Under 23s against Lions on Sunday September 19, 11.45am.
