Georgia Beaumont is coming back to Moreton Bay United.
The striker, who was with Jets last season, spent the summer at national A-League Women’s outfit Adelaide United.
However, the 19-year-old’s contract is finishing and she will rejoin Jets for the start of the NPL Women’s season on April 8.
“I’ve been in contact with Matt (Poole) and he was really supportive about me coming back and being part of the Future Matildas,” Georgia said.
“I’m looking forward to it. The girls were so welcoming when I joined last season. It will be good to be back.
“I don’t think I’m different as a player. I’m still developing. But the A-League experience has been great for me as a player and as a person.
“At Adelaide, the strikers were in their late 20s and it was so good learning from them.”
Georgia played in eight A-League games for Adelaide, which lost its semi-final against Melbourne Victory 2-1 at the weekend.
That followed three goals in six games for Moreton Bay United at the end of last year, having joined from The Gap in August.
She was also with Jets’ Under 13 and Under 15 teams - scoring 50 goals in 37 games from 2015 to 2016 before joining Brisbane Roar/NTC.
During three years at the NTC, Georgia was selected by Junior Matildas’ head coach Rae Dower for the 2019 AFC Asian Under 16 Women’s Championships qualifiers.
And it is the Matildas which are in her sights again with the Future Matildas program being held in Queensland again this season.
Georgia will combine playing for Moreton Bay United with the Future Matildas and hopes to have another crack at the A-League Women in the future.
