Cameron Millar has been appointed Head Coach of Moreton Bay United’s Senior Men’s NPL team for the 2023 season.
Cam steps up after two years as Assistant Coach, during which he also guided Jets’ Under 23s to the play-offs twice and won the grand final last year.
Joining him as Assistant Coaches will be two familiar faces - Dave Harris, who returns to the role and Head of Junior Development Macca Smith.
“I am incredibly proud to lead Moreton Bay United FC forward and excited by the challenge ahead,” Cam, 28, said.
“(Chairman) Ben Parkin and the board of directors have given me a great opportunity and I am very grateful.
“I am looking forward to working with great people, the exciting group of players and to develop a progressive team and environment our club can be proud of.
“Dave and Macca are outstanding people. They both bring expertise and experience that will be invaluable for our environment and are passionate about building the success of Moreton Bay United.
“Working closely with Moreton Bay United Academy Director Matt Poole will also be a priority, as we aim to continue the development and progression of our academy players in preparation for first team football.”

The new coaching team has already started work on the squads and pre-season planning.
Chairman Ben Parkin said the appointment is “really exciting for the club and the league in general”.
“Cameron becomes one of the youngest first-team coaches in the league’s history and that in itself is a great achievement,” Ben said.
“Cameron’s appointment aligns to the club’s youth development policy where he has worked across all areas from our Academy Support Programs, SAP, NPL Academy and with the successful Under 23s for the last two years prior to taking on the first team.”
Jets’ new head coach is close to completing his FFA A Licence, having already secured his FFA B and C Licences.
Cam's coaching and playing resume includes being an Academy and SAP coach at Gold Coast United and Moreton Bay United, SAP Director at Moreton Bay United and coaching school/college sides, including Albany Creek State High School.
His playing career included two years with Moreton Bay United in the NPL, four years at ACE in the Brisbane Premier League and one year in the Gold Coast Premier League.
