Moreton Bay United will have two women’s captains this season, each with different roles.
Jess Dillon is to captain Jets' women's NPLW team, while Jemima Head has been appointed as Club Captain.
Women's Head Coach David Da Silva said the appointments were made to harness the stand-out qualities of both players.
“Jemima brings leadership qualities across the club,” said David, “she’s engaged with the youth side of the program, she’s doing SAP coaching with the boys and girls.
“I just want her to be herself, a friendly face around the club. We want those kinds of leaders engaging right across the club.

“Jess brings experience to the role, she’s a great person and has the skills and knowledge to lead the group on the field.
“That’s the reason I was so happy to get her onboard for this season. She trained with the boys the other night and was really good.”
Jemima, who is making rapid progress on her return from injury, said she was “looking forward” to the new role.
“I think it’s exciting for the club, not just the women’s teams,” she said, “we want to link the women and the 23s, get us all together on the same page.”
Wearing the captain’s armband will be a relatively new experience for Jess who said: “I think I’ve only done a few games for (one of her previous clubs) The Gap before.
“This will be the first outdoor team I’ve captained, but all the girls are willing to learn and are up for the challenge.
“Dave’s sessions have been really good, he’s bringing us together as a team, learning all the time and looking to bring it together in games.”
