Creating the vision

Teyana Bielby who has stepped back up to the NPLW by joining Jets for 2020.

TEYANA Bielby, who has signed for Jets’ women’s team, is no stranger to the NPLW.

She spent two seasons in the state-level competition with Sunshine Coast Fire (2016-17) before moving down a tier to Peninsula Power (2018-19).

But, the excitement and vision Moreton Bay United coach Ben Fuhrmann has outlined for Jets’ has proved too tempting for the striker.

“I have joined Moreton Bay United this season as I want to play for a successful and respected club in the NPLW competition,” said Teyana.

“I want to be part of the vision that (coach) Ben is creating with the squad and look forward to helping as much as I can.

“The excitement of being part of a new squad and the prospect of playing against quality opposition week in week out were key factors.”

Teyana, known for her speed and endurance, played 18 times for Peninsula Power last season, as they finished third in the Brisbane Women’s Premier League.

She was also part of the team which then caused an upset by beating Premiers The Lakes 2-1 in the grand final.

The right winger/forward has already set herself goals for 2020 saying she wants to “contribute to the on-field success of the team and help build a strong culture of the field.

“I am always looking to improve, learn and grow as a player. And look forward to testing myself against the best players in the competition.”
