Moreton Bay United (MBU) has a new chairman. Ben Parkin has moved into the role after Greg Bradley stepped down last week.
Ben’s appointment was confirmed at a board meeting and he will combine being chairman with Director of SAP.
“I am excited to take on the role of chairman at the club,” he said, “it's a really interesting time and it is going to take all of us, the board, our members and our governing bodies to ensure we continue to provide the best product and pathway to our players and members.
“I'm big on Culture, Communication and Commitment and we will all continue to work hard on these to ensure Moreton Bay United remains one of the strongest clubs in Queensland.”
Ben joined our sister club Albany Creek Excelsior (ACE) in 2015 and coached teams involving his sons from Under 6-9. He was also assistant coach to the ACE senior team.
For the last two years Ben has coached through the Moreton Bay United SAP program becoming SAP Director this year. He is also involved in the Under 20 and senior team.
As Ben starts his new role, Moreton Bay United would like to thank Greg for all his hard work and dedication over the last four years.
Greg combined coaching with the chairman’s responsibilities, spending hours training teams and far longer away from the grounds, during the day and evenings, handling internal and external club matters.
We are indebted to Greg’s experience and guidance – and delighted that he will continue to coach Jets’ Under 18 Girls’ team.
A token of the club’s appreciation was presented to Greg at today’s coaches meeting.
