JETS' defence secured a battling points in a hard-fought round eight clash at Bowen Hills PCYC. Jack Gillespie reports:
GAME 1 v City - full time 0-2
The Jets were in full swing in the opening five minutes of this match; executing passes and successfully making ground up the field. But a momentary lapse in a poor Jets sideline hit-in lead to an intercept that City were good enough to turn into a goal, and suddenly the Jets found themselves on the back foot. Not long after, City found the back of the net again, and from there the Jets couldn't recover, finishing the game two goals behind. Goals:

GAME 2 v Lions - full time 0-0
Looking to make amends immediately after their first game loss to City, the Jets came out firing against the Lions. Both teams' defence was on point, as neither side could score. Plenty of opportunities were made, and all went askew. A great defensive effort all-round kept the scoreline to nil-all.
ROUND 9 PREVIEW - (August 3)
GAME 1 v Strikers
The Jets' defence will be put under fire in this match, as Strikers are one of the best attacking teams in the comp. Still trying to find their attack, the Jets can learn a lot from the way the Strikers play. It'll be a tough game, but hopefully one that ends in a Jets win!
GAME 2 v LionsÂ
Last time these two teams met, it was a hard-fought nil-all draw. The Jets will be looking to get their season back on track with a win, but with the Lions aiming to do the same, it won't be easy.
