Roar-ing success for Jets

We have fantastic news to end the NPL season for Moreton Bay United’s youth development program.

Three of Jets’ Under 13 players from this year have been selected for the Brisbane Roar Under 14 Academy in 2021.

Take a bow Baiden Lamb, Blair Ponting and Arthur De Lima. It’s a wonderful achievement by each of them.

Time also to salute the 16 Moreton Bay United players who were part of Football Queensland’s Talent Support Program (TSP) this year. They were:

Under 13 - Max Kacperski, Arthur De Lima, Ian Ballantyne, Blair Ponting, Josh Shaw.

Under 14 - Oliver Williams, Austin Siebuhr, Declan Parkinson, Dunia Kambona.

Under 15 - Riley Moore, Liam Byrne, Will Harris, Bailey Brandtman.

Under 16 - Tom Baresic, Kent Vega, Ethan Poore.

Add to that the Under 12 players from 2019 who also be at the Roar in 2021 - Arthur De Lima, Sean Almond, Liam Ponting, Blair Ponting, Rylan Brownlie – and Moreton Bay United’s youth program has plenty to be proud of.

“2020 has been one of the most successful seasons so far in terms of player progression and development,” said Jets’ Technical Director Matt Poole, pictured below.

“To have 16 players in the TSP and five players selected for the roar Academy is a fantastic achievement, a great endorsement of our coaches’ ability to deliver our youth development philosophy, and a great reflection on the attitude and talent of the players at the club.”

“It is further proof that our youth development plan is working, and that a consistent philosophy and environment is key to player development.”

We are proud of you all boys, well done!
