Moreton Bay United (MBU) has become one of the first clubs in the state to receive an Academy gold rating for 2022 by Football Queensland.
MBU also has a gold-rated SAP (Skills Acquisition Program) on the Club Shield it has which showcases both achievements.
We also received both in 2021 making this a fantastic double for the club, coaches, players and supporters.
It is also recognition from the state’s top football organisation that MBU is one of the leaders in junior player development.
“In a year that has had its fair share of challenges, to be one of the first clubs issued the gold-rated Academy for 2022 is extremely rewarding,” Moreton Bay United (MBU) technical Director Matt Poole said.
“I am proud of the way that the coaches and players have upheld the MBU Development philosophy throughout the whole season, which is testament to the culture that we here.
“We are extremely fortunate to be at a club which strongly believes in the development of MBU players for the NPL and NPLW senior teams.
“We are starting to see these players not only progress to senior football but have a big impact and influence games at this level.
“The whole club approach is something we are proud of at MBU.
“There are some big things planned for the club heading towards 2023, and it’s exciting to see what the future holds."
The gold rating followed assessments across a wide range of programs at this club by Football Queensland.
